Calibration, Adjustment, Repair & Maintenance

In accordance with the ISO 9001-certification, MAV-machines are officially classified as testing devices and thus are subject to regular inspections. As the manufacturer, we offer to carry out those periodical inspections and calibrations for you. Needless to say, we also conduct repairs and maintenance and also provide spare parts for our machines.

FAQ regarding adjustments, calibrations and repairs

  • What's the difference between calibrating and adjusting?
  • How often should mav force testers be calibrated?

As the owner, you are responsible of managing and observing the calibration cycles. The chosen cycle-period depends on the machine’s general condition, the type of application and the frequency of use.

Unless otherwise stated, inspections should take place at least once every 12 months.

With our KMG calibration system, you may also perform calibration by yourself. The system includes the KMG force gauge and one loadcell with a specific force range.

Please note: Should a stationary test machine be moved or extensive repairs or adjustments be carried out on a machine, then an inspection and/or calibration is urgently recommended. (According to the ISO/DIS 7500-1:2014 (Tension/compression testing machines - Verification and calibration of the force-measuring system))
